  1. Pick n Pay Namibia Independence Month Competition – Terms and Conditions

    1. Introduction

    1.1. The Pick n Pay Namibia Independence Month Competition (“the Competition”) is organised and administered by Pick n Pay Namibia (“the Promoter”).
    1.2. By participating in this Competition, entrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, which shall be interpreted at the sole discretion of the Promoter.

    1. Eligibility

    2.1. The Competition is open to Namibian residents aged 18 or older, excluding employees of the Promoter, their immediate family members, and any individuals professionally connected to the Competition.
    2.2. Participants must have a valid Facebook account and comply with Facebook’s terms of service.
    2.3. No purchase or entry fee is required to participate unless otherwise stated.

    1. Competition Period

    3.1. The Competition runs from 10 March 2025 to 21 March 2025, ending at 2:00 PM (Namibian Time).
    3.2. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

    1. How to Enter

    4.1. To enter, participants must:

    • Follow the official Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook page.
    • Comment on any Independence Month trivia post with their answer to the question.

    4.2. Each participant is allowed one entry per trivia post. Multiple entries on the same post will result in disqualification.
    4.3. Entries must be submitted before 2:00 PM (Namibian Time) on the day of the trivia post. Late entries will not be accepted.
    4.4. Entries containing offensive, inappropriate, or irrelevant content will be disqualified. Edited entries are not eligible.

    1. Prizes

    5.1. Competition 1 (10 March 2025): Winners will receive one of 35 cases of Castle Lite.
    5.2. Competition 2 (17 March 2025): Winners will receive one of five Castle Lite Cooler Boxes.
    5.3. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
    5.4. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with one of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.

    1. Winner Selection

    6.1. The first correct answer submitted on the trivia post will be declared the winner.
    6.2. In the event of multiple correct answers, the earliest submission will win.
    6.3. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence regarding the selection process will be entertained.
    6.4. Winners will be announced the following Friday at 4:00 PM (Namibian Time) via a post on the Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook page and contacted via direct message.
    6.5. Winners must respond within 7 days to claim their prize. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture.

    1. Prize Collection

    7.1. Winners will be contacted by the Pick n Pay store team in April 2025 to arrange prize collection. Winners must respond to the direct message and provide the necessary details within 3 days of the announcement.
    7.2. If a winner fails to respond within the specified timeframe, the prize will be forfeited, and no alternative winner will be selected.
    7.3. Prizes must be collected in person from the winner’s nearest Pick n Pay Namibia store within 14 days of being contacted by the store team. A valid Namibian ID or driver’s licence must be presented upon collection.
    7.4. Prizes may differ slightly in appearance from promotional images, which are for illustrative purposes only.

    1. General Terms

    8.1. By participating, entrants consent to the use of their name, image, and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
    8.2. The Promoter reserves the right to amend or cancel the Competition if unforeseen circumstances arise beyond its control.
    8.3. The Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the Competition or acceptance of a prize.
    8.4. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Terms and Conditions or engages in fraudulent activity.

    1. Privacy

    9.1. Personal information collected will be handled in accordance with Pick n Pay Namibia’s Privacy Policy and will be used solely for Competition administration.

    1. Facebook Disclaimer

    10.1. This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook, nor is it associated with Facebook in any way.
    10.2. By entering, participants release Facebook from any liability related to the Competition.

    1. Governing Law

    11.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Namibia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Namibian courts.
