Nivea SMS Campaign Terms & Conditions

  1. Campaign Overview

This promotional campaign (“Campaign”) is organised by Pick n Pay Namibia in partnership with Nivea (“Organiser”) and will run on the Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook page for five (5) consecutive months.

 Each month’s campaign will run for the last seven (7) days of that month, starting from 25th October 2024 to 28 February 2025. By entering the Campaign, participants agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

  1. Eligibility
  • The Campaign is open to all residents of Namibia.
  • Employees; including Directors of Nivea, Pick n Pay, Peppy Media, O&L BrandX and their advertising and promotional agencies, as well as any immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
  1. How to Enter:
  • Purchase any one (1) of your favorite Nivea products including one (1) Nivea product that is on promotion during the campaign period, as per advertisement.
  • Send an SMS with the keyword Nivea to 70777.
  • SMS cost is N$1.00 per message.
  • To avoid disqualification, participants must ensure they purchase the correct participating products before entering the competition.
  • Each valid SMS entry will qualify you for a chance to win one (1) of the available prizes.
  • Only purchases made from participating Pick n Pay stores are eligible for entry. The list of participating stores may vary depending on the Nivea products on promotion each month.
  • Participants are required to keep their till slips as proof of purchase.
  1. Participating Products:
    Each month, a different Nivea product will be featured on the advertisement as part of the promotion. Customers must purchase this product, along with any other Nivea product, to enter the competition.

  • Month 4:

The list of participating products will be updated each month on the Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook page and in-store (“advertisement”)

 

  1. Campaign Dates
  • The Campaign runs for five (5) consecutive months, with each campaign month covering the last seven (7) days of that month; dates for the five (5) campaigns noted below:
    • Month 1: 25th October to 03 November 2024
    • Month 2: 24th November to 30 November 2024
    • Month 3: 25th December to 31 December 2024
    • Month 4: 25th January to 31 January 2025
    • Month 5: 22 February to 28 February 2025
  1. Prizes
  • For each month, there will be a total prize pool of Pick n Pay vouchers to the value of Three Thousand Five Hundred Namibian Dollars only (N$3,500) in total for that month’s campaign, distributed as follows:
    • 1st Prize: N$2,000 Pick n Pay Voucher
    • 2nd Prize: N$1,000 Pick n Pay Voucher
    • 3rd Prize: N$500 Pick n Pay Voucher
  • The total prize pool for the entire five (5)-month campaign is Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred (N$17 500) Pick n Pay Vouchers.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
  • Winners will be contacted by O&L BrandX and can collect their prizes from their nearest Pick n Pay store, as the campaign is country wide, upon proof of their till slip/ proof of purchase.
  1. Winner Selection
  • Random Draw:
    • Winners will be selected via a random system draw conducted by Peppy Media at the end of each campaign month. The draw will include all valid entries received during the last seven (7) days of each month (campaign dates). The draw will take place as soon as possible after the last day of entry, otherwise on the next working day, but not longer than 7 working days after the campaign ended for that month.
  • Validation of Entries:
    • Only entries that meet the participation requirements will be considered eligible for the draw. This includes proof of purchase for any one (1) of your favorite Nivea products including one (1) Nivea product that is on promotion during the campaign period, from a participating store that will be communicated via Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook page.
    • The Organiser reserves the right to verify the authenticity of each entry and may request additional documentation from participants to ensure compliance with the Terms and Conditions.
  • Disqualification:
    • Any attempt to falsify or tamper with the entry process, including but not limited to submitting fraudulent proof of purchase, will result in immediate disqualification.
    • If a winner is found to be ineligible, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify the winner and select a replacement winner from the remaining eligible entries.
    • Participants that proclaim via the entry system to have bought the products but have no proof will also not be eligible to participate in the draw.
  • Winner Notification:
    • Winners will be contacted by O&L BrandX via the contact details provided.
    • Winners will be contacted by O&L BrandX as soon as possible. Should the winners not be reachable after 48 hours, they automatically forfeit, and the next winner will be contacted. O&L BrandX will make 3 calls per day, which would be 6 calls in total, in a time span of 48 hours. After these attempts are made and participant is not reachable, this will automatically forfeit their entry and next winner will be contacted.
    • Winners reserve the right to decline permission to be announced publicly on Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook Page. Winners that authorise O&L BrandX, will be announced publicly on the Pick n Pay Namibia Facebook page within seven working (7) days after each monthly draw.
  • Prize Claiming:
    • Once contacted and verification process has been done, winners will have seven (7) days (this includes weekends) to claim their prize. If no response is received within this timeframe, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected via a second random draw.
    • Winners will be able to collect their prizes from their nearest Pick n Pay store. The collection process will be coordinated by O&L BrandX and winners will be required to present valid proof of purchase, which would be a valid Till slip.  when collecting their prizes.
  • General Conditions for Winner Selection:
    • The random system draw will ensure fairness and transparency and Peppy Media’s decision is final.
    • The Organiser reserves the right to delay the announcement or delivery of prizes in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
  1. Liability
  • The Organiser is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by users or by any equipment or programming associated with the campaign.The Organiser is not responsible for any lost, stolen, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries and any of the prizes (vouchers) collected / redeemed
  • The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or violates these Terms and Conditions.
  • The organizer takes no responsibility after the redeeming of the voucher.

 

  1. Personal Data
  • By entering the campaign, participants consent to the Organiser using their personal data only for the purpose of administering the campaign and awarding prizes.
  • The Organiser will not disclose participants’ information to any third parties without prior consent, except as required by law.

Publicity:

  • By entering the competition, participants are allowed to decline the opportunity, should they win, to have their names and photographs published for promotional purposes related to the competition without any additional compensation.
  • Should a winner wish to not have their names or photographs displayed Pick n Pay will publish the winner with the allocation of an “X” to remain anonymous for the protection of their right to not have their name or photograph disclosed to the public.
  1. Data Privacy
  • Collection of Personal Data:
    By participating in the Campaign, participants acknowledge that personal data (including but not limited to name, contact information and proof of purchase) will be collected and processed by the Organiser for the purpose of administering the Campaign, conducting the prize draws, and notifying winners. This data will be collected be used solely for the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions.
  • Third-Party Sharing:
    Personal data will be shared with Peppy Media (for the random draw process) and O&L BrandX (for contacting winners). The Organiser will ensure that all third parties involved in the campaign will adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection obligations and are bound by these terms and conditions.
  • Data Retention:
    Personal data collected during the Campaign will be retained only for as long as is required by law.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent:
    Participants have the right to withdraw their consent to the use of their personal data at any time. However, withdrawal of consent may result in the disqualification of entries, as the Organiser will be unable to contact participants or validate their participation in the Campaign.
  • Data Access and Correction:
    Participants have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of their personal data by contacting the Organiser directly via email on Daniela.Luis@ol.na . Any requests for data access or correction will be processed in accordance with applicable laws.
  1. General
  • The competition is open to residents of Namibia only and excludes Employees; including Directors of Nivea, Pick n Pay, Peppy Media, O&L BrandX and their advertising and promotional agencies, as well as any immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
  • Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • Prizes are not transferable, refundable, or exchangeable for cash or any other item.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of similar value, should the original prize become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.
  • The Promoter is not responsible for any miscommunication or technical errors related to SMS entries.
